Afro Scandinavia Cultural Festival 2027

Afro Scandinavia Cultural Festival 2027A New Era for African Culture, Unity and Opportunity Across Scandinavia

July 2027 | Gothenburg, Sweden

The countdown has begun.

In July 2027, Gothenburg will become the meeting point of cultures, innovation, sport, entrepreneurship and African excellence as Scandic Vibes Network, in strategic partnership with SpringAid International Development (SAID) Sweden, proudly launches the inaugural Afro Scandinavia Cultural Festival 2027.

This is not simply another cultural festival.

It is the birth of a permanent Pan-Nordic institution—a visionary movement created to unite African diaspora communities across Scandinavia while building stronger relationships with Nordic societies through culture, education, entrepreneurship, sport and community engagement.

Designed as an annual rotating festival, Afro Scandinavia Cultural Festival will travel across Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Iceland, ensuring every Nordic nation becomes part of a shared journey celebrating diversity, inclusion and sustainable development. The festival begins in Gothenburg in 2027 before continuing to Copenhagen, Oslo, Helsinki and Reykjavik over the following years, establishing a legacy that will inspire generations to come.More Than a Festival — A Permanent Legacy

Across the Nordic region, thousands of Africans contribute daily to business, education, healthcare, innovation, arts and community life.

Yet despite these contributions, there has never been a permanent platform capable of bringing together the African diaspora across Scandinavia on this scale.

The Afro Scandinavia Cultural Festival changes that.

It is designed to become the largest recurring celebration of African culture in the Nordic region, creating meaningful opportunities for cultural exchange, economic empowerment, youth leadership, tourism and international partnerships.

Every edition of the festival will leave behind stronger community networks, empowered young leaders, thriving businesses and deeper connections between African communities and the societies they proudly call home.

This is where heritage meets innovation.

Where tradition inspires the future.

Where communities become one.

Celebrating Africa. Connecting Scandinavia.

The festival will welcome visitors from across Europe and beyond for an unforgettable celebration of African creativity, talent and achievement.

Visitors will experience an extraordinary programme of activities, including:
